Molino del Santo Residents: If you prefer to have breakfast in your room or on your terrace, a reduced variety of articles is available to be served by our staff. Alternatively you are welcome to collect a tray from our buffet and have breakfast wherever you would most like. A surprising number of gentlemen seem well trained in this morning ritual.

For early departures or full-day excursions we provide cool boxes with your choice of breakfast items.

Non-residents of Molino del Santo: you are equally welcome to breakfast with us any day. We prefer you to make a reservation but this is not usually essential.

DINNER, served from 7.30 to 9.30 in low season, 8 to 10 most of the year and 8.30 to 10.30 in summer.

We challenge you to find a more beautiful place to eat than in the shade of the willow and fig trees on Molino’s terraces with the mountain stream racing by. At lunchtimes you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, in the evenings the terraces are lit by flickering candles.

You can choose from two different styles of eating with us , both extremely popular :

The menu is designed to reflect as far as possible local andalucian cuisine often with a more imaginative twist to many of the locals’ favourites.

Starters the locals eat which are great to share: Delicious cold meats and local sausages, best quality mountain ham, local cheeses, fresh prawns, a range of home made croquettes.
A varied selection of interesting salads: fresh cheese, salty anchovies, crunchy spinach, sun-ripened tomatoes, spicy rocket, apricots, avocadoes and dates are amongst the ingredients you will find in interesting combinations.
Soups, Pasta Dishes and Vegetarian Starters: Aubergine casserole, chickpea dishes, cold garlic and almond soup, scrambled eggs with oyster mushrooms, deep fried squid.
Fresh Fish: Fresh anchovies, calamares and sardines, tuna, swordfish, monkfish, hake. Simply grilled is often enough because of the high quality although you’ll also enjoy some great recipes.
A Wide Range of Meats: Organic or locally sourced, you will find roast kid, rabbit casseroles, grilled lamb chops, Galician steaks, organic chicken, amazing pork and, according to season, wild boar and venison.
Paellas: Our staff make a great vegetarian or mixed Paella which you can order for any time during your stay … but why not do as the locals and eat it outside for lunch with a glass of Rose and some Andalucian sunshine to accompany it?
Desserts: All home-made, our delicious desserts reflect seasonal local specialities: strawberries, oranges, raspberries, chestnuts, for example. There is always a chocolate dessert too along with local cheeses and a variety of ice-creams.
Wines: We have an extensive wine list, specialising in local bodegas as well as the best wines we know in Spain. And Spanish sweet wines make excellent accompaniments to desserts. Click here to see our wine list.

Our menu changes a little each day to give you a new choice each time you eat and is completely altered three times a year.

This menu includes tasty bites based on local dishes to tempt you and might feature spicy prawns, goats’ cheese, chorizo sausage, tomato salad, Spanish omelette, fresh sardines for you to combine as you will.

Afternoon tea is a very popular part of the Molino day with both hotel resident and visitors. Local Spanish flock to Molino for “merienda” especially at weekends.

We make a great range of home made cakes, which vary each day, to accompany your choice of coffee and infusions. If you’re not used to later eating times, tea should help you to get through to dinner!

CHILDREN´S MENU: Our own kids have helped us to design a children’s menu. This is based on local dishes: noodle soup, swordfish, “real” chicken and pork in breadcrumbs, salads but with a few more international favourites included such as pasta and burgers.

We do have some chips on this menu but balance this with other carbohydrates and vegetables. Children are also welcome to order smaller portions of any of our main menu dishes and we can often adapt dishes to some younger tastes.
