Summary: For many years we have had local artists exhibiting their work at Molino and this page tells you who has work currently.
Local Artists:
Molino has always been keen to support local artists and has regular exhibitions by local people on the walls, usually of paintings although occasionally this is also sculptures and ceramics.
At the present time, the following people are exhibiting:
Inmaculada Gimeno - resident of Fuengirola but from a local family. A printer who has several works in the Museo de Grabado in Marbella. Her current exhibition of prints reflects the influence of Mozarabic design.
Maria Teresa Antolin - Born in Madrid in 1922 with family from Andalucia. Started painting her Naive Paintings at the age of 55 and has had exhibitions all over Spain and Europe. Her delightful colourful paintings depict scenes of Andalucian life and traditional fiestas.
Brenda Harthill - A New Zealander who lives between London and the village of Gaucin.A world reknowned printmaker - her prints for sale at Molino are inspired by the wild landscapes and villages of Andalucia.
Christine Ellingham - A professional English illustrator now living in the village of Benaojan. Her current exhibition of charcoal and pastel work are free style expressions of local landscapes,rock formations and olive groves.
Ray Ward - An ex teacher and explorer who now lives in a local village. His careful atmospheric oil paintings depict local landscapes and villages.
Lyngard Simpson - A ceramic artist who lives in the village of Montejaque. His ceramic plates and paintings are a reflection of his deep affection for the countryside and villages of Andalucia.
Udo Burkhardt - An East German now living in Ronda. His exhibition of fantasy work uses mixed techniques in vibrant colours.
Rachel Slack – An English artist who depicts the light and colour of Andalusian landscapes in abstract form using oil and water colour.
Prices vary according to artist but fall in the range from 40 to 2000 euros.
